With just days to go until the final season of Derry Girls airs on Channel 4, fans are a mix of excited anticipation and sadness as we bid farewell to Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson) and the gang.
But hearts may not be broken just yet, as creator Lisa McGee has spoken out about the possibility of a film featuring the Derry Girls gang in the future.
In an interview with Radio Times Magazine, Lisa has spoken about her "love letter to Derry" show, that has been an instant hit since its inception in 2018.

The writer spoke about a film on the Our Lady Immaculate students, and said: "Who knows!
"You never know what will happen in 10 years’ time, but as a writer, you just know when it’s complete. I’ll miss them, but I feel like I got to take those characters exactly where I wanted to take them."
Dylan Llewelyn, who plays English cousin James, has also shared that his final days on set were "quite shocking", as the cast tease an emotional ending to the programme.
Dylan said: "Yeah, I think it's very emotional to end. Like the wrap day was just - it's quite shocking, just processing, "Wow, this is it," and to say goodbye to, not only the cast, but the crew as well who we've worked with on season one and two. It's quite emotional."

Nicola Coughlan (Clare Devlin), who plays a more restrictive role in the final season due to her involvement in Bridgeton, has also noted her 'emotional rollercoaster' when filming the last season.
Nicola said: "'It was hard to get to this point because we were delayed so many times by Covid and so many other reasons. So getting to do it was a challenge.
"But I just hope that we've done the fans of the show proud because that's what we all want so much."
Derry Girls season 3 airs on Channel 4 at 9:15pm on Tuesday 12th April, and will be available on All 4.
