Channel 4 Hobby Man heads to Edinburgh in 'excellent' episode say viewers

Hobby Man premiered on Channel 4 on Friday evening where host Alex Brooker headed to Edinburgh alongside Scarlett Moffatt.

The show sees Brooker link up with various celebrities to try out a range of hobbies. Friday's episode saw the pair try various hobbies in the Scottish capital.

They got introduced to chess, tried their hand at beer brewing, and went for a bird-watching session across the Firth of Fourth.

The brewing segment saw local club Beers Without Beards share their crafting expertise with the hosts. Earlier this week, the club told Edinburgh Live it was "very exciting" to appear on the show and meet Brooker and Moffatt.

The episode was well received among viewers watching at home. They were quick to take to Twitter to share their enthusiasm.

One said: "Liking #hobbyman - good balance of enthusiastic presentation and just enough insight to make you think 'yeah, I could do that.'"

"Excellent," a second tweeted, while a third agreed: "I'm loving it #HobbyMan love Scarlett's laugh".

A fourth stated: "Surprised I liked #HobbyMan thought it was going to be s***e. Only improvement imo would be make it 30 minutes. Too much filler."

Many viewers were particularly enthralled by the beer part of the show. One shared: "Yes, I made their Werryman Bitter once, it was really easy and really nice."

A second revealed: "My dad used to make home brew back in the day. Buckets of the stuff all around the house.. it stank"

"I shouldn't have watched #HobbyMan - I wanna brew my own beer now," a third joked.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: "Think I might try home brewing."
