Channel 4 Gogglebox viewers preoccupied with odd optical illusion on Gok Wan

Gok Wan admitted he was a 'snowflake' on Celebrity Gogglebox. Paired up with Fearne Cotton he laughed as he called himself the derogatory insult.

The TV-watching couple were reacting to the new Netflix reality show ‘Snowflake Mountain’ in which a group of 'snowflakes' are gathered on an outside trip in order to teach them life skills. The opening intro of the show defined a snowflake as: "A young person who is considered overly emotional, easily offended and dramatic."

Following this definition, stylist Gok Wan turned to his sofa buddy, Fearne, and in a moment of epiphany said: "I think I’m a snowflake" whilst laughing.

The Channel 4 show showed further clips of ‘Snowflake Mountain’ where a group of young people, or snowflakes as they are dubbed, dropped off on the side of a hill. In response to this, the camera cut to one of the young people saying: "I'm done. I’m calling the cops."

Gok, although mainly known for being a fashion stylist throughout his career, has ventured into other aspects of the entertainment industry in recent years, including cooking, as he is a regular chef of ITV’s This Morning.

But fans were more preoccupied with something else, and took to social media to point out the unfortunate appearance of the folded blanket next to his leg on the show. The pattern appeared to some to look like an electronic tag on his ankle.

On Twitter @falling_stairs said: "Why does Gok Wan appear to be electronically tagged? #celebritygogglebox #gogglebox "

@mcfcnorthstand3 agreed and Tweeted: "Is Gok wearing an ankle tag #CelebrityGogglebox."

@mavericksteve also questioned the optical illusion and said: "Is gok wan electronically tagged? #CelebrityGogglebox"
