Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford has confirmed what his real job is for the first time. Fans of the hit Channel 4 show are used to seeing him on their screens from his sofa alongside younger sister Sophie.
The sibling duo have been firm favourites among Gogglebox viewers since first appearing from their family's Blackpool home back in 2017 thanks to their quick quips and one-liners as they cast their verdict on the latest TV show, films and breaking news.
While Sophie was left upset after losing her job as a window dresser at department store Debenhams following its collapse last year, she has since gone on to train as a florist. Pete, however, was believed to work in insurance but that's actually not the case.

Speaking to The Sun at the Television and Radio Industries Club (Tric) Awards on Wednesday afternoon, Pete, 27, said: "We just saw Eamonn Holmes. I am just a builder from Blackpool, so it is a bit strange when celebrities know us. I was on a roof yesterday."
When asked if he'd consider giving up his job, he said: "I have got to pay my mortgage somehow." He was also pressed on whether he'd be interested in taking part in any other reality shows to which he replied: "No, nothing beats sitting on the sofa."
Pete was joined at the glitzy awards bash in London by his sister and co-star. And the pair looked completely different to how we usually see them.
Sophie looked gorgeous in a pastel pink suit, wearing the blazer jacket over a white tap which featured a feathered edge. She paired the outfit with a white clutch bag and donned a pair of chunky white heels as she strutted the blue carpet with her older sibling. Pete also pulled out the stops and looked dapper in a three-piece checked suit.
At it was set to be a good night as Gogglebox picked up the award for best entertainment show. The pair were seen celebrating the Channel 4 show's win in a group picture alongside co-star brothers Tremaine, Twaine and Tristan, and TOWIE star Amy Childs and former EastEnders and current Hollyoaks actor Richard Blackwood.
Tristan posted the snap to his Instagram with the caption "We won" and a trophy emoji. Fellow Gogglebox star Mica Ven was among those commenting, writing: "Yesssssssssss famalam," while Richard wrote: "Well done truly proud."
