Gogglebox fans have been left emotional after two of the programme's favourite stars posted an update on social media.
Regular armchair critics Dave and Shirley took to Instagram to alert their 163k followers about the news, with views commenting and reacting to the announcement.
Many fans love the Welsh married couple for their hilarious quips on the week's best telly. They've been welcoming viewers into their Caerphilly home since 2015.
And bosses have now confirmed Gogglebox will return to our screens this Friday (September 9). Ahead of the latest series, Dave and Shirley shared the news on Instagram - and it's left some fans quite emotional.
Sharing a snap of themselves on their iconic sofa, the couple said: "Don't forget Friday folks, #gogglebox is back on the 9th xx".
Taking to the comments section, Geraldine Ahern said: "I've missed you", while Suzanne Digan said: "I can't wait, so excited to be seeing you back on my TV. Hope you have both had an amazing summer". Rachel Violet Faliveno said: "Get the brandy out Dave!.....much love..." and Shauna Denny said: "Oh I can’t wait, I’ve missed you two!"
