Pete Sandiford is a firm favourite among Gogglebox fans. He regularly has viewers of the Channel 4 hit in stitches with his comments as he appears on the show alongside his younger sister Sophie.
The siblings joined the show in 2017 and have been giving fans their quick takes on the latest TV programmes, classic films and breaking news ever since from their family home in Blackpool.
Off-screen, however, Pete lives a very normal life with his rarely seen wife and their adorable son. And despite being paid to appear on the show, the Goggleboxers all have jobs away from their sofas and TV screens.

Pete works in insurance, according to the Mirror, but he got his biggest job to date last year when he became a father for the first time. He revealed that he was going to be a dad on the show in a chat with Sophie.
As one of the episodes began back in April last year, it showed the sibling duo in Blackpool and Sophie looking at her phone. "My niece or nephew," she said as she asked Pete: "Does it look like me?"
The camera then revealed exactly what she as looking at - a scan picture of Pete's unborn baby with then-fiance Paige Yeomans. "No," Pete bluntly replied. "It's going to be good looking," he joked. "Innit mad, I'm actually going to be a dad to somebody," he then added as Sophie replied; "Crazy, life is coming at you fast."
Five months later Pete casually confirmed his son's arrival while on the red carpet at the National Television Awards in September. The TV star told the Mirror at the time that he is "overwhelmed" by his new role. On being a father, Pete said: "It's a bit overwhelming, got it all going on at the moment," before revealing the sex of his first child. "He's cool little lad, takes after his mum not me," he added.
At the time Pete revealed his baby news on the show, it was his second big announcement after he low-key announced that he was engaged to Paige. He was asked by sister and Channel 4 co-star Sophie about the nuptials: "Do you feel any different now you’ve got engaged?" To which Pete replied: "Yeah I feel like an even bigger sense of responsibility I don’t know why."
Pete first caused quite the stir when the pair shared their first photo on social media back in October, with Pete writing at the time: "My Mrs and best mate what more could I ask for, don't worry @sophiesandiford1 you are a close second best friend."
In November, after welcoming their son Jimmy, Pete confirmed that he and Paige had said 'I do' six months earlier with a stunning photo from the big day on Instagram.
Paige looked stunning in a classy white gown with her hair tied back from her face in curls. She was pictured smiling at her husband who was suited and booted as they walked by the sea. "Happy 6 month wedding anniversary to my best mate, wife and the best mummy in the world @paigesandiford," Pete lovingly shared alongside the post.
Sophie was among the first to reply, writing to the happy couple: "Can’t believe how quick it’s gone. Second best day ever (after Jimmy’s birthday of course) love you both."
But the pair keep their relationship very much off-screen with Paige not making an appearance on the programme and off social media. Someone who does make an appearance, however, is Pete's adorable pet pooch, Colin.
In October Pete melted his followers' hearts when he gave fans an update on fatherhood - but not with his son as it was in fact his fur child, corgi Collin. "Lad and dad time with R col," he shared alongside the brilliant snap of him holding the adorable pup, looking much bigger than his owner.
While it is Pete and Sophie who appear on-screen together, they're not the only Sandiford siblings. The duo have a brother and sister who don't appear on screen. Mum Julie and dad Paul are also parents to Lucy and Harry.
They're rarely seen on the Gogglebox stars' social media pages but they made a brief appearance on Pete's own Instagram account as the foursome posed for the camera for the snap which he simply captioned: "The fam."
But they have actually appeared on-screen before as Gogglebox wasn't Sophie and Pete's first telly appearance. The family-of-six, plus family dog Elivs, were hired by TalkTalk when it launched its 'This Stuff Matters' Christmas campaign.
They were filmed non stop for two weeks with 17 unmanned cameras to find the perfect "ordinary, everyday moments". And it was after that, in 2016, that Sophie and Pete were snapped up by Gogglebox.
It is also no secret that Pete and Sophie share a famous relative. They are the great-niece and great-nephew of Chuckle Brothers stars Paul and Barry.
Pete and Sophie have shared snaps with their famous great-uncles on social media. After Barry died in 2018, Sophie paid tribute, sharing a picture of herself and her brother alongside Paul and Barry, writing: "A truly lovely and funny man to be around. You filled millions of childhoods with laughter and entertainment including mine and Peter's. You will be sadly missed by many. Rest in peace Uncle Barry. Lots of love from me, to you."
Pete also shared a sweet photo of himself and Sophie as children with Paul and Barry, writing in tribute; "We are lucky enough to call him Uncle Barry."
