Channel 4 Gogglebox fans thrilled as two stars make pregnancy announcements during show

Gogglebox fans sent their congratulations to two of the show's stars after they both revealed they are expecting new additions to their families on Friday's edition of the Channel 4 series. Ellie Warner, who appears on the show with sister Izzi, announced she was expecting her first child with long-term partner Nat Eddleston, while dad-of-one Pete Sandiford revealed his wife Paige Yeomans is also pregnant again.

Fans of the show are over the moon for the pair, especially Ellie who had to take a break from the show when her boyfriend was involved in a serious car crash in March. Nat was left fighting for his life after being knocked down by a car as he was walking home from a night out in Leeds.

In Friday's show, hairdresser Ellie, 32, told her sister she had been for an ultrasound scan and showed her a photograph from it. The girls giggled as Izzi, a mum-of-two, tried to work out the photo and Ellie joked: "It looks like a jellied alien!"

Ellie continued: "When I showed mum the picture she said 'Oh can I take a picture' and you didn't even look at it for two minutes." Izzi hit back, saying: "I did! I told you where the things were, I'll stare at it a bit longer just to make you happy."

In another recent episode of Gogglebox, Ellie hinted that she wanted to marry Nat, telling her sister she wanted their first dance at the wedding to be to Flying Without Wings by Westlife. Nat appeared on Gogglebox alongside Ellie in 2020 when lockdown rules prevented the Leeds sisters from filming together.

He also made an appearance on the show over the phone in May a few weeks after his accident when Ellie rang him up for a chat. The couple even joked about pregnancy in a conversation about shotgun weddings, with Ellie asking: "Are you going to get me pregnant?" and him swiftly responding: "No".

Nat was in intensive care following the crash and his injuries included a broken neck, a broken back and two collapsed lungs. He has now made a full recovery.

Meanwhile, Pete, 28, who appears on Gogglebox alongside his sister Sophie, also revealed exciting news to fans on Friday's show. The siblings were sat on the sofa with Pete's son Jimmy when they discussed Paige's pregnancy with their second child.

Pete, from Blackpool, told his son: "Jimbers, you're going to have a little brother or sister coming. You're going to have to milk it." Sophie, who was holding her nephew on her knee, added: "You’re going to be a big brother."

Paige, an emergency services call handler, married Pete in May 2021, and the couple welcomed baby Jimmy in September last year.

Fans were overjoyed for both Pete and Ellie, with many quick to send their congratulations to the expectant parents. @AmySian1993 wrote on Twitter: "Two baby announcements in an hour ep, How exciting, congrats both."

Another user @cheekygirlie commented: "Congratulations to Ellie & Nat..what an exciting way to end the year". After Pete revealed his news, @kellycrumpton94 wrote: "second pregnancy announcement?! congratulations to Pete and his wife! #Gogglebox."
