Channel 4 has confirmed when the new series of Great British Bake Off will air amid a number of schedule changes.
In the wake of the tragic passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the broadcaster, along with many others, has announced a schedule shake up, with an extended edition of the network's news programme airing from midday on Friday. The Last Leg was also pulled from the schedule with host Adam Hills announcing "it didn't feel right" during a period of national mourning.
Amid programmes being cancelled and postponed, a number of viewers have speculated whether or not the new series of Great British Bake Off will begin next week on Channel 4, as planned.

Now in its 13th series, returning judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood will come together to put a number of aspiring star bakers through their paces. It was previously revealed that Bake Off had been renewed for three more years on Channel 4.
Richard McKerrow, Chief Executive at Love Productions, said: "We are delighted to have extended Bake Off’s stay on Channel 4 for another three years. Love Productions' long-term commitment with Channel 4 illustrates a deep, warm, mutual respect and partnership which enables us to bring Bake Off to the widest audience possible."
After Gogglebox aired on Friday, Channel 4 confirmed GBBO will return on Tuesday (September 13) at 8pm. Episodes will then air at the same time, weekly on Channel 4 and All 4.
