Celebrity Gogglebox was back on screens on Friday night and two new famous - and familiar - faces made their debut. Emma and Matt Willis, who celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary earlier this week, were seen from the comfort of their own sofa as they dished their views on a week of telly.
The TV star and Busted singer were seen screaming as they watched new HBO series The Baby and intrigued as they watched two male moose fight for the love of a female.
However, many viewers tuning in to the latest episode of the Channel 4 spin-off couldn't believe that the man sitting next to 46-year-old Emma was her 39-year-old chart-topping husband.
The Busted bassist was seen sporting short, buzzcut hair do and a dark beard. He was also donning glasses and opted for a deep-cut white t-shirt and a grey cardigan as he watched telly for the show with his former Big Brother host wife.
And it wasn't long until viewers were flocking to social media to comment, with some even doing a double take. @thequalmpeddler tweeted: "What on EARTH has happened to Matt Willis?! I hardly recognised him at first! #CelebrityGogglebox." @MrsMJR6914 enquired: "Is that Matt Willis with Emma? He looks unrecognisable I can't understand what's happened."
@ivanj_25 commented: "I didn’t even recognise Matt Willis thought was someone different sitting with Emma. Thought she was getting cosy with someone else on tv #CelebrityGogglebox." @samloveslobby shared: "Took me a moment to realise it was Matt Willis #CelebrityGogglebox." @EmilieCope91 added: "It's taken me nearly the whole episode to work out that Emma Willis is with her husband Matt #CelebrityGogglebox."
Others, however, were more than happy to see him. @_xFran said: "Matt willis is still an absolute babe #celebritygogglebox." @tweetmonkeyj tweeted: "Matt Willis is aging like a fine wine - the beard is excellent... #CelebrityGogglebox." @pavarottishighc shared: "Emma and Matt are that annoyingly naturally good looking couple #celebritygogglebox."
