Channel 4 A Place in the Sun buyers cut search short after 'flop' Portuguese property

A Place in the Sun buyers cut a house viewing short on today's show.

Danni Menzies fronted Friday's edition of the popular Channel 4 programme. The property expert was helping Martyn and Sharon search for their perfect holiday home in the Algarve.

The couple were looking for a spacious two bed property and had a maximum budget of £180,000. However, the search proved to be tricky as Martyn and Sharon were particularly unimpressed with the second property on the latest programme.

The two bed apartment was situated in Albufeira and was split across two floors. The property was priced at £145,872, but Martyn and Sharon were taken aback by the exterior.

Danni assured the buyers the building was getting a facelift next year and they proceeded to view the interior. However, they were similarly unimpressed by the inside and cut the search short before they viewed the full property.

Danni said she was shocked by the buyer's scathing reaction and vowed to up her game after she admitted it was "a bit of a flop". Martyn and Sharon upped their budget during the episode when Danni revealed the amount people could make from renting the property.

The buyers added an extra £50,000 to their budget and were impressed by the final home on today's show. The two bed apartment in Quarteira was valued at £211,009, but the buyers initially decided against putting in a bid at the end of the episode.
