Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Leader of the Opposition and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu, and a host of other political leaders hailed the success of the Chandrayaan-3 Moon Mission on August 23 (Wednesday), and congratulated the scientists of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on their achievement.
“It is a historic moment. Every Indian is proud of the Chandrayaan-3 mission’s phenomenal success that has catapulted India to be the fourth country to achieve a soft landing on the lunar surface, and the only country to reach the uncharted South Pole of the moon,” the Governor said in a release.
Mr. Abdul Nazeer appreciated the ISRO scientists for the soft landing of the Vikram lander along with the Pragyan rover on the lunar surface.
“Our scientists have created space history, and the whole country is proud of their dedication and hard work,” the Governor said, and wished them many more successes in the future.
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy described it as a proud and cherished moment for the nation, as it joined the orbit of elite group that accomplished the Moon Mission.
Congratulating the ISRO team for creating history, the Chief Minister said that exploring the unchartered polar regions made the expedition more challenging with the world gazing at India in admiration.
ISRO scientists scripted history, propelling the prowess of space technology to heights greater than the great, the Chief Minister said.
India is unstoppable: Naidu
Mr. Naidu, in his post on X (formerly Twitter), said he was saluting the indomitable spirit and determination that made the task possible, and noted that India was at the beginning of an era of infinity and it was unstoppable.
BJP State president D. Purandeswari said the success of Chandrayaan-3 was a great achievement and a matter of pride for the entire country.
“It is another glorious milestone in India’s space exploration,” she observed in a message on the social media, and congratulated the ISRO and all the “brilliant minds” behind the accomplishment.
Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan said in a release that Chandrayaan-3 scored a great victory, and it fulfilled the hopes of 130-crore Indians.
He complimented ISRO and conveyed his greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre for extending tremendous support to ISRO.
CPI State secretary K. Ramakrishna congratulated the ISRO and all others who played an instrumental role in the successful landing of Vikram on the moon’s hitherto unexplored South Pole, and said it was heart-warming that India was the first country to achieve the feat.
