Sunderland's hopes of bringing Amad Diallo back to the Stadium of Light could be dealt a huge blow if reports coming out of the Netherlands are to be believed. Dutch media outlet 1908 claims Eredivisie Champions Feyenoord are interested in signing Amad Diallo this summer on loan from Manchester United.
Arne Slot's side will be playing in the Champions League next season after romping to the title. De club aan de Maas were keen on signing the Ivorian in 2021 and look set to reignite their interest in the forward this summer.
Diallo is set to return to Manchester United for pre-season where Erik Ten Hag will cast an eye over the impressive youngster before making a decision on his next step. The Red Devils boss has already warned the 20-year-old he has to earn the right to play for his parent club, but a stellar season in the Championship will have given the former Ajax boss food for thought.

The Ivorian was one of, if not the standout performer in the Championship last season and produced moments of magic as Sunderland reached the play-off semi-finals under Tony Mowbray. Diallo has already hinted at a return to the Stadium of Light beyond this season, and is reportedly set to make a decision on a possible loan away from Old Trafford in the coming weeks.
He scored 14 goals and racked up three assists in 39 appearances for Sunderland, who would love to bring him back to Wearside for another season. Feyenoord are yet to make an official approach for Diallo, according to the report, but would be able to offer Champions League football and football in a competitive division.
