Tottenham will be delighted with their draw on their return to the Champions League.
Antonio Conte’s side will face Eintracht Frankfurt, Sporting Lisbon and Marseille in Group D, as they look to make an impact at Europe’s top table.
On paper at least, Frankfurt was the best draw Spurs could have got from Pot 1, while there is minimal travel for Tottenham to have to worry about throughout the group stage.
The exact dates of the matches will follow in the coming days, though Conte knows his side face a trip to Manchester City in the Premier League just a few days after their first Champions League clash.
The third European match will take place between matches against Arsenal and Brighton, while the final match of the group stage will be played just before Spurs host Liverpool in the league.
