Glen Powell is unrecognizable as a college quarterback in the teaser trailer for Hulu’s Chad Powers.

Russ Holliday is a disgraced college quarterback. Looking to continue his career, Holliday disguises himself and walks onto a Southern football team under the alias Chad Powers.
Powell is seen wearing prosthetics to play Chad Powers in the brief teaser.
Besides Powell, Chad Powers stars Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny, Clayne Crawford as Coach Dobbs, Toby Huss as Mike Holliday, Colton Ryan as Gerry, Xavier Mills as Nishan, and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson.
The half-hour comedy was co-created by Powell and Michael Waldron. The series is based on Eli Manning’s sketch from the ESPN+ series Eli’s Places.
In the sketch, Manning disguises himself as Chad Powers and tries out for the Penn State football team.
NFL Films and Omaha Productions will produce the series by 20th Television. Executive producers include Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, Adam Fasullo, Luvh Rakhe, Tony Yacenda, Waldron, and ESPN.
Chad Powers premieres in the fall of 2025 on Hulu.

2024 has been Powell’s coming-out party. After working in Hollywood for nearly a decade, Powell broke out as Hangman in Top Gun: Maverick.
At the end of 2023, Powell starred in Anyone but You alongside Sydney Sweeney. The film became a sleeper hit for Sony, grossing over $220 million on a $25 million budget.
In May, Powell headlined Hit Man, a romantic crime comedy he co-wrote with Richard Linklater. Powell’s performance garnered his first Golden Globe nomination.
In July, Powell starred in Twisters, the legacy sequel to 1996’s Twister. The legacy sequel became a critical and commercial success.
Powell is currently filming Edgar Wright’s The Running Man and will star in J.J. Abrams’ next movie.
