Former Kansas City Chiefs backup quarterback Chad Henne dished on a hilarious superstition he saw Patrick Mahomes hold dearly during Henne’s time with the team.
Talking with ESPN reporter Adam Schefter, Henne revealed that Mahomes wears the same pair of red underwear for every one of his NFL starts.
Henne said, because of Mahomes’ baseball background, the quarterback is very superstitious with his routines, including what pair of underwear he rocks on Sundays.
“Sunday, it’s the same pair,” Henne said with a laugh, adding that the brand is either Lululemon or Haynes.
As silly as it sounds, it’s hard to argue with Mahomes’ results on the field wearing his lucky underwear.

Hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Chiefs fans now will hold Mahomes’ underwear in the same esteem as any other franchise good luck charm.
Although, there’s a movie now to be written about a gang of Philadelphia Eagles fans trying to break into Mahomes’ house to steal his lucky underwear ahead of a future Super Bowl rematch. Call us, Hollywood!
