CFB Watchability Index: Georgia’s Road SEC Tilt Leads Week 12 Slate

It’s a week that only a mother can love. The price you pay for Rivalry Week is the week before it in the SEC and ACC. There are cream puffs on the menu before we get to the turkey and the stuffing, but despite that there is always still something good to consume on a college football weekend.

All times Eastern. Watch college football with Fubo.

Definitely good

Miami vs. Louisville (12 p.m., ABC)

This is the second year in a row that an ACC team has gone this deep into the season with a plausible outside shot at the Playoff, and the team isn’t one of its traditional bluebloods. Enter Louisville, which does still have a path to the dance if things break right and it keeps winning.

SMU vs. Memphis (12 p.m., ESPN2)

There are four teams fighting for two spots at the top of the AAC standings. Memphis can make things messy with a win here against SMU. If the Tigers lose, they’re eliminated from the conference title race, but a team that’s found something with Ryan Silverfield can be frisky.

Georgia’s offense has been a bright spot this season, but the Bulldogs’ defense will need to slow down Tennessee in Week 12.

Georgia vs. Tennessee (3:30 p.m., CBS)

It was supposed to be the SEC East championship game earlier in the season, but the game still has plenty of juice as the Dawgs’ last legitimate challenge before Alabama. Last year, UGA was able to shut down the Vols’ high-flying offense. Can they do the same this year?

Washington vs. Oregon State (7 p.m., ABC)

Oregon State can stay alive in the Pac-12 title race and put a serious dent in the Huskies’ Playoff chances. What a fantastic one-two punch that would be for a team that had a big win off the field in court as well this week against the 10 departing Pac-12 schools.

Sneaky good (or at least with something of notable intrigue)

USC vs. UCLA (3:30 p.m., ABC)

The crosstown showdown doesn’t have all the steam it usually does, but USC and UCLA on the same field is still a great sight, even if it’s the last time we’ll see it in the Pac-12.

Oklahoma State vs. Houston (4 p.m., ESPN2)

Oklahoma State is still alive in the Big 12 title race, but they have to win this game to ensure they go to the Big 12 championship game. Houston’s season has been up and down, but there’s a notable chance to play spoiler here.

Well, it’s certainly better than not watching football
