CES 2025 LIVE: All the biggest tech and gadget news

CES 2025.

The Consumer Electronics Show is the biggest tech event of the year, and CES 2025 did not disappoint.

Our Tom's Guide CES team went to Las Vegas in force to go hands-on with the latest products and test the newest innovations in everything from AI to EVs to find the best gadgets of CES 2025 .

This year we saw a slew of big display-related announcements at CES, like Samsung unveiling OLED displays with a massive 500Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, its South Korean rival LG revealed the LG G5 and M5 OLED TVs with a big brightness boost and new AI features. Let's not forget Lenovo, which stunned us with the world's first "rollable" laptop.

But the biggest clash of the show has come from the chip titans. Qualcomm announced its new Snapdragon X CPU, Intel launched a slew of new processors, and so has AMD. But the biggest news has to be Nvidia droppings its all-new RTX 50-series graphics cards, which are bringing unfounded levels of GPU power to desktops and laptops.

All of these next-generation chips bring a new level of capabilities for gaming, productivity and — of course — AI. We've also already seen several new pairs of smart glasses, including one with an invisible display. And of course there were all sorts of wacky gadgets, like this robot vacuum with an arm that can pick up socks for you. Indeed, the future has arrived!

It was an incredible week, and you can follow along with the latest news from the show below or look at our CES 2025 hub page for more details. Plus, remember to follow us on TikTok for an even better look at what we're most excited about this year!

CES 2025: Major announcements so far

LIVE: LATEST UPDATES

Welcome to Day One of CES (officially)!

(Image credit: Nvidia)

You'd be a little shocked hearing that, given how much news has already happened. But today is officially the first day of CES, and we have a lot more news to cover. There's normally a couple of press days like what you've seen us cover, but today is when CES is officially open to everyone!

To kick things off, let's review what is easily going to be the biggest news of the entire show — Nvidia launching the new RTX 50-series graphics cards. You've got RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti and 5070 in both desktop and laptop flavors and the performance increases are insane!

As Jensen himself said, you're getting "the power of an RTX 4090 in the 5070," and at a starting price of $549, this card just got impressively affordable. We also heard a lot about how AI is core to everything Nvidia does — touching on all kinds from AI enhanced graphical imagery with DLSS 4 and neural rendering capabilities to how GPUs can impact Agentic and even robotic AI.

Once these start to launch a little later this year, you best believe we'll be fully testing them to see if these live up to Huang's hype.

Smart glasses may finally have their year

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

Hey, it's Kate Kozuch here! The hype around smart glasses at CES 2025 is off to a strong start. Although the Chamelo Aura color-changing tinted frames I showed off in the TikTok above have been out for a few months, they recieved a CES 2025 honoree recognition, and I understand the hype. With the press of a button, the tint changes between four total colors and they last for weeks on one charge. There's going to be no shortage of smart glasses/wearable announcements this week, so be sure to stay tuned.

(Also, shamless plug, be sure you're following Tom's Guide on TikTok so you don't miss any of our highlights from the show!) — Kate Kozuch

Want to go really big? Go Laser TV

(Image credit: Hisense)

We love OLED and QLED TVs, but if you want the biggest possible picture you've got to check out the Hisense L9Q. This laser projector will be available alongside five differently sized Ambient Light Rejection (ALR) screens: 100, 110, 120, 136 and 150 inches.

You also get a very impressive 5,000 lumens of brightness, and the L9Q has a built in 6.2.2 surround sound system that supports Dolby Atmos for a truly immersive home theater experience. — Mark Spoonauer

WowMouse is the missing piece in spatial computing

(Image credit: Future)

You know me, and you've already read about how I think spatial computing needs a lot more time in the oven. One of the main obstacles is around the hardware — making it small enough on your face to be a pair of glasses while giving you that spatial gesture-based interaction.

Meta Orion does this with a wrist strap that can detect gestures, and WowMouse just replicated it using your smartwatch. Previously, it was just for Android, but at CES, the company announced it's not available on iOS, Windows and Mac too. Just connect it and you can move your hand around as the on-screen cursor and pinch to click on things.

It's cool in practice! But of course it feels a little gimmicky in use on a phone or laptop. The real future of this will be when spatial computing becomes more of a thing. Maybe they can talk to Xreal to get the ball rolling? — Jason England

Do you miss Guitar Hero? LiberLive's got you covered!

(Image credit: Future)

I've played guitar since I was 12 years old, and loved Guitar Hero ever since too. However, I can freely admit that Guitar Hero ended up being a bit of a flash in the pan.

However, LiberLive C1 doesn't just keep that trend going, it is a foldable and portable live music party all in one dynamic instrument.

The first-ever stringless smart guitar has all the chords up its neck, a huge speaker system including a 3-inch woofer, and a 6-hour battery life to play to your heart's content. Plus, it can interact with your phone to create playable rhythm games to your favorite songs. — Jason England

EXCLUSIVE: I was the first to see Hisense's 136-inch 'consumer-ready' MicroLED TV

It's been a busy day of TV news, but we're excited to be the first to tell you about the Hisense 136MX MicroLED TV. I traveled to Hisense's HQ in Qingdao, China last year to check it out ahead of CES, and the dazzling display definitely caught my attention. MicroLED is still very niche, but Hisense planting it's flag in the space might help drive prices down and make the technology more mainstream in the years to come. Make sure you check it out in the YouTube video above, and stay tuned for more announcements on the Hisense front from CES 2025. — Kate Kozuch

Intel's brand new Core Ultra chips just landed

(Image credit: Future)

Intel has just announced three brand new additions to its Core Ultra family at CES 2025. Now we have the 200U for budget PCs, the 200HX for high-end gaming systems and the 200H — which is supposed to sit somewhere between the two.

You can check out the full specs for every card that's on the way here. But the simple matter is we're looking at better performance and power efficiency, alongside improvements to neural processing (for AI) alongside better controls (and less antagonism with Windows 11) for gamers.

The weird side of CES 2025

Our Managing Editor, Kate Kozuch, joined the popular YouTube channel Cheddar to discuss some of the interesting health gadgets they've seen at CES 2025. And there are some weird ones, to say the least.

Perhaps this smart electric spoon is taking the cake for the health category's weirdest (while still being useful) product. It makes food taste saltier, so you can eat healthier food that tastes how you like it. Check out Kate's rundown of using it in our Kirin Electric Salt Spoon hands-on.

Meet the chip powering the next generation of gaming handhelds

(Image credit: Future)

AMD has unveiled its Ryzen Z2 line, the latest-and-greatest silicon to power the nex generation of PC gaming handhelds. For 2025, Ryzen Z2 has three different versions, each geared toward a different audience and improves graphical fidelity while drastically enhancing battery life.

Even more exciting, AMD confirmed during its presentation that it's working with Valve on hardware, which means we could see these chips make their way into the Steam Deck 2.

The Ballie AI robot is real

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

The Ballie robot has been a Samsung concept for years now, but CES 2025 confirms it'll finally be coming as a real product later this year.

The little ball has undergone a redesign and now benefits from an infusion of AI that'll help it respond more accurately to voice commands.

We don't know how much Ballie will actually cost when it does arrive but I'm hopeful we'll have one rolling around TG Towers before too long.

Perhaps the coolest gadget at CES 2025

(Image credit: Anker)

It feels strange to be talking about cooling things down in January, but that's exactly what Anker has been doing at CES this year. The company may be known for its charging solutions, but it's also unveiled an electric cooler designed to keep your drinks fresh during a day at the beach.

Anker’s SOLIX EverFrost Electric Cooler will come in three sizes: 23L, 40L, and a whopping 58L. As you'd expect from a battery company, there's some impressive tech powering it. The cooler uses detachable 288Wh LFP batteries that can be swapped out to keep it running continuously. With one battery you'll get 52 hours with one charge and you can expect double that if you use both. Drinks are on us!

A rollable laptop has arrived

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

Lenovo revealed the world's first rollable laptop at CES 2025, and it features a 16.7-inch display that rolls out by simply using hand gestures. We knew rollable displays were on almost every tech company's radar, but it looks like Lenovo will be the first to make it happen.

The screen starts at 14 inches and rolls to 16.7 inches, depending on your needs. And it's not skimpy on the specs. Lenovo included an Intel Core Ultra 7, up to 32GB DDR5 RAM, up to a 1TB M.2 SSD, Wi-Fi 7 and more.

And this isn't some theoretical device that could launch sometime in the distant future. Lenovo states it's set to launch in the first quarter of 2025, with expected pricing starting at $2,999. That means sometime in the next two or three months, people can buy this incredibly innovative laptop.

For more, check out our own Mark Spoonauer's hands-on impressions of the Lenovo rollable laptop.

Razer's new chair will keep you cool or warm you up

(Image credit: Tom's Guide)

Razer introduced a new concept chair dubbed Project Arielle, a mesh gaming chair that features wraparound RGB lightstrips.

The chair itself has an all-mesh design that adds integrated heating and cooling. The heating modes has multiple modes and the cooling fan with three speeds.

Razer claims the cooling mode can reduce the perceived temperature of the person in the chair by 35.6 degrees and heat up to 86 degrees.

We got to try it out at CES 2025. Check out our impressions of this interesting new gaming chair.

An entire security suite built into your door

(Image credit: Future)

Home security innovations may not be the sexiest thing on display at CES 2025, but this smart lock from Lockly is still one of the coolest gadgets we went hands-on with. The Lockly Styla comes with all sorts of clever tech to make it easier to get in and out of your house and comes in a variety of svelte finishes that'll make your door the envy of the neighborhood.

It packs a motion sensor, video camera, speaker, a number pad, an RFID reader, and traditional key lock as well as a biometric fingerprint reader tucked away on the underside of the handle. The lock also comes with a Wi-Fi-connected hub, which acts as both a door chime and storage for video captured by the lock's camera. We'll have to wait until the Lockly Styla launches in the third quarter of 2025 to see how it stacks up to the best smart locks.

Eureka unveils a new robovac that's better at spotting spills

(Image credit: Eureka)

Revealed at CES 2025, Eureka's J15 Max Ultra has all the makings of the most versatile robot vacuums in years. It uses an advanced system that integrates both infrared vision and an FHD sensor along with AI to better spot spills on the floor. It's also equipped with a new extendable spinning mop and side brush that can jut out from the robot's body to better clean baseboards.

Even the smartest robot vacuums have a habit of getting tangled up when sweeping the floor, which is why Eureka equipped with the J15 Max Ultra with a new DragonClaw side brush that has uniquely V-shaped bristles to use centrifugal forces during rotation to actively untangle hair. And it all comes with the same base station as its predecessor that empties its dustbin and cleans its mops automatically.

Anker's new 165W power bank has this one nifty trick

(Image credit: Future)

It's no secret that Anker makes some of the best power banks on the market, and the company did not disappoint at this year's CES. Meet the new Anker 165W Power Bank, an impressive charger with a 25,000mAh battery capacity and 165W of power, enough to charge an iPhone 14 four times over or a 16-inch MacBook Pro to 50% in just 30 minutes.

But the neatest feature is one you normally wouldn't even look twice at: the strap. You see, more than just a way to carry it around, the strap is a built-in retractable USB-C cable that spans up to 27.2 inches. While the Anker 165W Power Bank may not be the most powerful charger around, its useful design makes it super handy for keeping your devices topped up on the go.

Sony's 'XYN Headset' is tailor-made for spatial content creation

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

Sony surprised at CES with a new XR headset that is built specifically for spatial content creation.

We got to check out the 4K OLED microdisplays and saw how the headset could be used for designing virtual environments.

Even for non-designers like us it was fairly intuitive. Check out our hands-on experience to learn more.

L'Oreal has a new skin analysis system to determine your skincare routine

(Image credit: L'Oreal)

L'Oreal teamed up with the Korean company NanoEnTek to make a a machine called the Cell BioPrint.

This device reads information on chips that you put bio tape with samples from your skin in. It then reads that chip and spits out a determination of your skin and suggestions to help improve your skin routine.

It's not exactly a home-kit but something we might see in commercial or clinical settings down the road.

It sounds Theranos so we checked out L'Oreal Cell BioPrint machine at CES 2025 to see how this partnership works and what it actually does.

Panasonic's new OLED and Mini-LED TVs

(Image credit: Panasonic)

If you thought Panasonic was out of the TV game, think again. The company came roaring back in 2024, and it's now in a good position for 2025 with the new TVs announced at CES 2025.

Panasonic's 2025 lineup of displays looks promising. The high-end Z95B OLED TV leads the charge, followed by the W95B Mini-LED TV and the more affordable W70B LED TV rounding out the lineup.

If you want to know more about Panasonic's lineup of TVs (and you do if you plan to buy a new TV shortly), read our CES coverage, breaking down the specs of the three models.

MyDelta app is getting generative AI concierge

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

AI is taking flight, as Delta Airlines has announced a new generative AI assistant to help with your travel experience from start to finish: Delta Concierge.

As seen in the demo shown off at CES, it can let you know how busy traffic heading to the airport, offer recommendations during your trip and more — all catering to your personal needs.

In need of new entertainment while in the air? Well, Delta Airlines is also offering a new in-flight entertainment system, offering more personalization and travel information. Get a first look at the new Delta entertainment system in action — rolling out in 2025.

First look at Lenovo Legion Go S — with SteamOS!

(Image credit: Tom's Guide)

Our very own Tony Polanco went hands-on with the Lenovo Legion Go S, the new handheld gaming PC that's powered by SteamOS. It boasts a new ergonomic design and strong components, but more importantly, it's first third-party device to have SteamOS as an option, rather than just the Steam Deck.

There's still much to learn about the Legion Go S, and we'll have to wait until May 2025 to check out. In the meantime, the Legion Go S looks like one of 2025’s standout gaming handhelds, and that says a lot as there's some competition, including the huge Acer Nitro Blaze 11.

Turn your iPhone into a PSP Go!

(Image credit: Future)

Fun fact: I loved the PSP Go back in the day even when nobody else did. True, the device was expensive and limited by digital-only before it was accessible, but c'mon — slide-out devices are cool. Which is why I'm super interested in this PSP-style accessory called the MCON mobile gaming controller.

In a nutshell, it's a slide-out Bluetooth game controller that uses a MagSafe-like puck to magnetically attach to either an iPhone or Android device. When you're done, simply pull it off and stow it away. Considering gaming on your phone is genuinely good (if you know where to look) this could be a huge deal if the build quality is up to scratch.

The MCON gaming controller is currently on KickStarter, but is slated to see a full release sometime around August 2025.

Nintendo Switch 2 dummy units at CES

(Image credit: Tom's Guide)

This is pretty wild. Genki, a company that makes cases and accessories for video game systems has made the quite extraordinary decision to bring a dummy unit of the rumored Nintendo Switch 2 to the show. It's also reportedly showing off a range of accessories for a console that, at present, has not been officially confirmed.

Whether or not Genki gets a swift phone call from an army of Nintendo lawyers remains to be seen, but the company has also updated its website with a message that reads “Can you keep a secret? We can't…”

Given the tidal wave of leaks around the Nintendo Switch 2, this was perhaps inevitable — but it's still a ballsy move to pull a stunt like this and try to spoil Nintendo's (Mario) party before it starts. (h/t VGT Gaming News)

5 AI tech products we actually care about

(Image credit: Ropet)

We said from the start that AI would be everywhere at CES and we weren't wrong. There's been an explosion of AI-enabled products across the show floor and we've been checking out as many of them as we can. Now we're a couple of days into the show, I asked our AI Editor, Ryan Morrison, to give his breakdown of which AI products are the most interesting.

"Big attention grabbers like Nvidia and Samsung will define the direction of AI innovation, unveiling new models and even new approaches to the technology," Ryan said. "But, the real fun is in the start-ups and weird innovations."

So far, some of the items that make his top 5 list are the Roborock robot vacuum with its own hand, an AI-enabled set of earbuds and a robot pet that looks "a little bit like a Furby crossed with a Tamagotchi."

Day 3 — the full round-up

(Image credit: Getty Images)

We've wrapped our heads around the very best new tech from day 3 at CES and it's fair to say: this year's show is getting better with each passing day.

Some of the gadgets that got us most excited included BMW’s new Panoramic iDrive system, the Segway ebike that can go from 0-20mph in just 2.7 seconds and the bonkers new rollable ThinkPad laptop from Lenovo.

@tomsguide ♬ delulu - NESYA

AI earbuds — worth it or not?

(Image credit: Natura Umana HumanPods)

AI is coming to everything. In the tech world, you can't watch a company's press conference or read an article about a product without AI being shoved in there somewhere.

This is true in the audio space, where a new pair of headphones from Natura Umana brings all the AI to your ears. There are the HumanPods, the earbuds themselves, and the software they use for their AI implementation, called NatureOS. Both work together so that you can speak to “AI people” who can “do things in your place."

As interesting as that sounds, our Audio Editor, Tammy Rogers, isn't totally sold on the idea. I have to admit, I don't like the idea of talking to AI people in my ears, but I'd have to try the earbuds for myself before I can make any final judgments.

2025 — The year of the handheld gaming PC?

(Image credit: Future)

Handheld gaming PCs are attracting a lot of attention at CES. The Lenovo Legion Go S immediately caught our attention with its budget-friendly price tag and SteamOS support.

The Acer Nitro Blaze line looks promising, especially the comically large Acer Nitro Blaze 11.

Finally, the MSI Claw 8 AI+ impressed with its significant improvements over the previous generation model.

Control devices with your brain

@mspoonyg ♬ Chill Vibes - Febri Handika

The Mudra Link from Wearable Devices reads your brain signals and turns your hand into a remote control. Yes, you read that right. It works with Android, macOS and Windows devices and lets you control them using Surface Nerve Conductance sensors to pick up electromyography signals from subtle finger movements.

If it sounds like something out of a science fiction movie, it kind of is. It feels straight out of Minority Report with the gesture controls.

Awesome TVs, anyone?

(Image credit: LG)

TVs are one of the hottest products at every CES for as long as I can remember. The extensive show floor is conducive to showing off big, fancy displays. Companies like Samsung, LG, Hisense and Panasonic steal the show with their beautiful TVs, slated to come out in the future.

As the TV person on the CES floor, our own Ryan Epps sifted through the beautiful TVs to pick eight of the best. I'm sure it was no easy task, but he did it as a labor of love.

The future of Nvidia GPUs looks huge

(Image credit: Future)

We were expecting to see the next generation of graphics at CES this year, and sure enough, Nvidia’s RTX 50-series GPUs are officially a reality.

The first desktop cards (including the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090, 5080 and 5070 Ti) from manufacturers like MSI are at CES 2025, and they'll be available for purchase by the end of the month.

Laptop versions are coming shortly thereafter, and we can't wait to get some into our testing lab for review so we can put them through our paces!

Panasonic unveils cool new OLED and mini-LED TVs at CES 2025

Panasonic's new Z95B OLED TV (Image credit: Panasonic )

Panasonic has brought a selection of new OLED, mini-LED and LED TVs to CES 2025, and the future looks awfully bright on these 4K displays.

The star of the show is the Panasonic Z95B, a new 4K 120Hz OLED set packing redesigned speakers and a new 30W internal woofer. And unlike several of its competitors, the Z95B will be equipped with an ATSC 3.0 tuner so you can watch over-the-air TV on its eye-catching 4K OLED display.

Brain-reading earbuds?!

Naqi surprised us on the CES 2025 show floor with the Naqi Neural Earbuds, a pair of 'buds which use high-tech sensors to let you control your smartphone or other device using small head and face movements.

They could be a game-changer for accessibility, and they're reportedly coming to market later this year.

The future of skin analysis is here

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

The new L’Oreal Cell BioPrint aims to deliver a complete skin health analysis with just a few dabs of your face, analyzing dead skin cells to classify your skin type, estimate your age, predict future skin issues and more.

We tried the Nvidia RTX 5090

(Image credit: Future)

Okay, so there's a lot of hype around stuff from CES. Some of the coolest TVs have debuted this year, and we're definitely excited. But nothing has us more excited than Nvidia's new high-end graphics cards.

And we just played games with Nvidia's $1,999 GPU. Our Computing Managing Editor, Jason England, sat down to experience games on the next-generation of PC graphics, and he said, "Nvidia RTX 5090 is truly a game changer (pardon the pun) — a beasty card with even beastier performance gains that are going to set the stage for the next generation of graphical fidelity."

Jason has been around PC gaming for years, so for him to be this excited about something in the space is a big deal. It's easy to see why the RTX 5090 holds a prominent position on our Best of CES awards.

Qualcomm vs. Intel — we saw the power

(Image credit: Future)

We're in the era of Qualcomm for PCs. The company's high-end chips have made waves in the high-end computer space for AI features. The newly announced Snapdragon X chip brings similar features and power to more affordable models.

Qualcomm tested these new chips against Intel Lunar Lake processors to determine their power. We witnessed the battle firsthand, and it was incredibly one-sided.

"According to Geekbench scores from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon model scored 2408 on single-core and 14,129 on multi-core, while the Intel model only had 1,250 single-core and 6,760 multi-core. Clearly, there's a better model here," reads our rundown of the battle.

Calling it a battle is a bit of an exaggeration. It's more like a one-sided beatdown reminiscent of Mike Tyson in his prime.

Our daily rundowns

Flying cars!?

(Image credit: Future)

Xpeng claims to be the world leader in flying car tech, and the Chinese firm is on the show floor at CES 2025 in Las Vegas to show off their latest flying car.

It's called the Land Aircraft Carrier, and it's basically a big electric SUV with an electric VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) module on the back. The company claims to have already received 3,000 orders of intent to purchase, and the plan is to start delivery in 2026!

The ultimate bag for traveling is at CES 2025

Not all of us are running around on the CES 2025 show floor!

Pictured here is Tom's Guide U.S. editor-in-chief Mike Prospero sitting astride a piece of rideable luggage here at CES. I've long been less than a fan of suitcases with wheels, but this is one bit of baggage I wouldn't mind taking for a spin!

The next generation of AR glasses is here at CES

(Image credit: Future)

There are some neat bits of augmented reality tech at CES this year, and our own Jason England has done a try-on of the new Xreal One Pro AR glasses that you can read now!

These upgraded Xreal AR glasses will cost $599 when they ship in March, and the standout new feature is a pair of gorgeous micro-OLED displays that aim to give you the feeling of viewing a 171-inch virtual screen with 1080p resolution.

How many calories do you burn covering CES?

(Image credit: Dan Bracaglia/Tom's Guide)

Our wearables guru Dan Bracaglia has been hiking his way around CES this year checking out the latest smartwatches, smart rings and even a 10-port USB-C charging hub. That all adds up to a lot of walking, but luckily he's strapped on the Instinct 3 smartwatch that Garmin revealed earlier this week at the show.

An entire day traversing the massive trade show ended up with him clearing five miles and over 17,000 steps.

"The Instinct 3 isn't just good for bragging rights at the end of the day, though," Dan explained in his write-up. "Throughout the AM and PM, I monitored my heart rate, elevation gain (Vegas has a lot of steps), and distance tally with just a glance, alongside current weather conditions and more; Garmin offers ample customization of the parameters displayed."

All told, a day covering CES ended up burning a healthy 1,500 calories!

Here's a bit of time-saving tech for your morning and evening routine: a 2-in-1 brushing and flossing electric toothbrush from Soocas. This started life as a Kickstarter campaign and could potentially land on our list of best electric toothbrushes.

Two buttons on the handle work to turn the brush on and off but also spray a jet of water from the built-in reservoir to mimic flossing. The company claims it generates 124.3 PSI of peak water pressure and has a 30-day battery life.

No excuse for not flossing anymore!

Best of CES day 4

(Image credit: Future)

We're into the home stretch of CES for another year but even four days into the conference we found a bewildering amount of cool gadgetry to talk about. So here's our definitive list of the best things we saw on day four of the show.

There was an AI-infused anti-snoring pillow, a snap-on PSP-style mobile game controller and, of course, a flying car. We've already crowned our Best of CES Awards for this year and many of these products made it onto the list.

And be sure to check out our round-ups of the best gadgets at CES day 1, day 2 and day 3 too.

These earbuds are Shokzingly good

(Image credit: Shokz)

The Shokz OpenFit 2 look like a significant upgrade on the OpenFit and OpenFit Air, and those were some well-rounded earbuds already. The company says these headphones offer better sound quality, a more comfortable fit, longer battery life, and easier-to-use controls. That all sounds like a recipe for success.

Unlike many of the products shown off at CES, the Shokz OpenFit 2 are now available for $179 at Amazon.

AI, now in your fridge

(Image credit: Samsung)

Refrigerators are designed to keep your food fresh and cold, and they've done a great job of it over the last century.

But just because a fridge has such a simple purpose doesn't mean there isn't room for advancement in the space. Samsung is always first in line to advance fridge tech, and the company's latest follows the industry trend of adding AI to everything.

Samsung claims that food items such as pork and salmon can last up to 1.4 times and 1.2 times longer using AI. The AI algorithm detects the current status of the refrigerator and predicts temperature changes inside the fridge to adjust the cooling mode.

There's a lot more going on in this technologically advanced fridge, so read the full story here: Samsung's latest fridge uses AI to keep your food fresh for longer — here's how

These earbuds control things with my mind

(Image credit: Future)

We've covered a lot of stuff at CES 2025. We even sat in a flying car! But it wouldn't be CES without some futuristic device that lets you control things with your mind, and that's just what we saw with the Naqi Neural Earbuds.

These crazy earbuds are coming to market in the next year or so (the price is unknown), but we tried them out and were blown away by the accessibility potential they offer.

Putting that Garmin to good use

(Image credit: Dan Bracaglia/Tom's Guide)

Our own Dan Bracaglia decided it made sense to use the new Garmin Instinct 3 to track how much he's moving around at CES (spoilers, there's a lot of walking).

When writing his rundown, he traveled just over five miles and 17,000 steps, a lot of movement in a short period. It shows how much walking we must do to bring you the latest tech gadgets at CES 2025 (it's totally worth it).

The Instinct 3 isn't just good for bragging rights at the end of the day, though. Throughout the AM and PM, Dan monitored his heart rate, elevation gain (Vegas has a lot of steps), and distance tally with just a glance, alongside current weather conditions and more; Garmin offers ample customization of the parameters displayed.

With CES day 3 in the books, check out the full story breaking down the biggest takeaways from Dan's 17,000+ steps with the Garmin Instinct 3.

Replicate the Eras tour experience inside the new 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ

(Image credit: Future)

Cadillac's new 2025 OPTIQ packs a AKG audio system with 19 speakers installed around the luxury car's cabin, along with a long dashboard speaker beneath the windshield for 360-degree sound.

We got a chance to sit inside one and experience the sound quality firsthand here at CES 2025, where Cadillac and Dolby are showing off the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ's luxurious in-car audio and infotainment system!

These new AI glasses use ChatGPT

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

CES 2025 is winding down, but we're still running around checking out some of the coolest stuff we haven't seen (yet) on the show floor.

Case in point: Loomos is here with a pair of video-recording smart glasses that cost under $200 and rely on ChatGPT instead of Meta AI, giving you a new alternative to Meta's expensive smart shades.

Look out, Mac mini!

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

The new MSI Cubi NUC AI+ 2M mini PC is here on the show floor at CES 2025, and it looks like a could be a serious contender for one of the best mini PCs of the year.

As you can see in our TikTok video, this pint-sized powerhouse is a Copilot+ PC configurable with the latest Intel Core Ultra CPUs and support for up to 3 external displays, making it a great little machine for getting work done.

The coolest TVs at CES 2025 are right here

@tomsguide ♬ Vlog - Gaspar

We've seen a slew of new sets from LG, Samsung, Panasonic and more on the show floor here at CES 2025, but a few have really stood out from the pack.

Check out our TIkTok page to see firsthand what our favorite TVs of CES 2025 look and sound like! My favorite is the one you can hold up like a portrait, but there are lots of options for all sorts of tastes on display here in Las Vegas!

The most interesting handheld gaming consoles at CES 2025

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

We got to go hands-on with a number of new handheld gaming consoles from the humongous Acer Nitro the true Steam Deck challenger in the Lenovo Legion Go S.

Take a look at our TikTok to see what which ones we thought were the most interesting. I want to see if that giant Acer console actually feels comfortable play in real life and not just on the show floor.

Suitcase computer — Bond gadget or work savior?

(Image credit: Base Case)

As people traveling to work at CES 2025, we have to bring our office with us. So, we were intrigued by the Base Case, a suitcase that hides two (!) 24-inch monitors and a number of ports.

We took a look at this James Bondian gadget to see if it actually makes remote work easier. Check out our detailed hands-on here to see how it rolls out.

Sim racing with the all-new Intel Arc B580 GPU

(Image credit: Future)

Nvidia's new GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card may be the biggest and beefiest GPU at CES 2025, but it's not the only one.

Intel also brought some speedy new graphics cards to show off, including the new B580 GPU. We had a chance to take it for a test drive with a bit of sim racing on the show floor, and now you can read all about it in the full story!

Is this the bathroom scale of the future?

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

Withings is showing off its Omnia smart mirror concept here on the show floor at CES 2025, and it's pretty wild.

As you can see from the video above, the idea is that you step on the scale in the morning and it uses all the latest sensors to help you understand everything from your sleep and heart health to your energy levels, body composition and more!

LG concept car uses AI to keep an eye on you while you drive

(Image credit: Future)

The LG Vision AI Mobility Concept car on the show floor here at CES 2025 aims to showcase how AI might help us drive better by using sensors to keep tabs on your health and assign you a driving score.

The car does things like warn you when you're not paying attention and give you a warning when you're distracted. It's not coming to any real vehicles in the immediate future, but check out the video below to see what the future of cars could look like!

New Tombot robot dogs could help dementia patients cope

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

Tombot is also at CES 2025 with a new robot dog that's intended to help relieve anxiety and provide comfort to dementia patients. We got to meet a robotic golden retriever named Jenny, but Tombot is working on multiple "breeds" (as well as a cat!) of robotic therapy animal.

Hands-on with MSI Claw 8 AI+

(Image credit: Tom's Guide)

As someone who's not yet dipped a toe in the handheld PC gaming pool, I've been blown away by the new gaming handheld systems on show at CES 2025. But stepping away from the Lenovo Legion Go S for just a moment, my colleague Anthony has been hands-on with the new MSI Claw.

It's got a terrible name, but the device has all the makings of a real contender. MSI has equipped this Asus Rog Ally X rival with a new larger 8-inch, 120 Hz display and the inclusion of a Lunar Lake chip. The RAM has doubled from 16GB to 32GB and now it's got Wi-Fi 7 on board. Gamers have really been spoiled by this year's show.

Meet Jennie

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

We've spent the last week checking out chipsets, VR headsets, wearables and laptops. But how's this for a heart warmer? Jennie is a robot therapy dog that mimics real canine behavior for seniors (and infants) to interact with. And we spent some time with her on the show floor.

Jennie features touch sensors that allow her to respond to interaction. For example, when you scratch her cheek, Jennie nuzzles in, interpreting your touch as a cue for affection. She benefits from a rechargeable battery that lasts all day and will produce sounds based on those of actual 12-week-old Labrador puppies.

If there's a more adorable gadget at CES this year, then we haven't seen it.

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

Taking a break from the buzz of the show floor, our US Editor in Chief Mike Prospero ventured outside to test ride Segway’s new Xyber e-bike which will hit a top speed of 35mph through the throttle, but also offers assisted pedaling.

Although this model isn't street legal, Segway says it plans to come out with a second version of the Xyber to conform to Class-2 ebike requirements in late spring/early summer 2025.

Make your own ice cream

(Image credit: Coldsnap )

If you love ice cream, you'll love this new ColdSnap machine. It lets you make soft-serve ice cream so quickly that it will make your head spin (and maybe give you a brain freeze).

In less than two minutes, you can go from ingredients to soft-serve ice cream, which the ever-popular Ninja Swirl can't do. It's like having a Keurig coffee machine but for soft-serve ice cream.

The ice cream machine doesn't need frozen pods — its freeze-on-demand technology turns it into ice cream in minutes. This makes it easy to store the ice cream without filling your freezer.

Read the whole story: Watch out Ninja! This smart ice cream maker is a CES hit, and it makes soft serve in under 2 minutes

A treat for the eyes

(Image credit: Future)

Outside of injecting AI into every product, whether it needs it or not, the most significant trend at CES 2025 may have been smart glasses. We saw (directly on our faces) many smart glasses with various features.

After looking through the lens of many different pairs, we narrowed it down to our seven favorite smart glasses from CES 2025.

Why were there so many pairs of smart glasses at CES this year? That’s because there’s been significant innovation in the Micro OLED technology to project imagery onto AR glasses. The reason notwithstanding, it's an exciting time for smart glasses!

Handheld gaming was out in force at CES 2025

(Image credit: Future)

We're winding things down today, and as we look back at what we saw at CES 2025 it's obvious handheld gaming PCs were out in force this year.

From the MSI Claw 8 AI+ to the SteamOS-powered Lenovo Legion Go S to the comically large Acer Nitro Blaze 11, it's clear the Steam Deck has opened up a whole new segment of the gaming hardware market. Get ready for PC gaming on the go to hit a whole new level this year!

Get ready to "feel" digital objects

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

Ever wanted to feel the icons on your desktop?

Soon you may be able to with something like the Afference Ring, a small metal ring on display at CES 2025 that uses electrical signals to simulate touch sensations.

It's just a reference design, but as you can see from our Tiktok above this wearable neural interface gives you a new way to "feel" and interact with digital objects, which could be a major theme of future tech.

Putting hands on the new Garmin Instinct 3 smartwatch

@tomsguide ♬ Vlog - Gaspar

We're running around the CES 2025 show floor checking out as much as we can, and our own Dan Bracaglia just got his hands on the newest Garmin smartwatch.

The new Garmin Instinct 3 has been upgraded with an AMOLED display (except for the solar models), as well as dualband GPS for better location tracking. The solar edition starts at $399, while the AMOLED version starts at $449.

Get ready for this smart indoor basketball hoop

@tomsguide ♬ original sound - Tom’s Guide

We just checked out the Huupe Mini, a new $799 indoor basketball hoop, which puts a 19.5-inch screen on the backboard so you can track your performance, play games against yourself and more!

If I had a spare $800 handy this is exactly the kind of silly dorm room gadget I would have bought on the way to college back in the day.

Is this the future of controlling spatial computing?

(Image credit: Future)

Here at CES 2025 the Afference ring is having moment.

This little device uses electrical currents to stimulate your finger, creating artificial sensations of touch. It can be connected to a wide variety of devices, including smartwatches and AR glasses, and it opens up a whole new realm of control by allowing you to "feel" things like icons or programs.

Could this be the missing link that finally makes spatial computing make sense?

Here's to a great 2025!

(Image credit: Future)

CES 2025 is wrapping up, and while we'll be thinking about what we've seen for days to come (and filing more stories to boot) our CES team is heading home for a well-earned respite.

We'll be slowing down our cadence of updates on this blog, which is jam-packed with everything we learned at CES this year. So scroll down to see what you missed and enjoy this final farewell photo from the team!
