New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday has approved the proposal for the appointment of six senior advocates as Additional Solicitor General (ASG) in the Supreme Court of India. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions.
Name of new ASGs
Senior Advocates S. Dwarakanath, Ms. Archana Pathak Dave, Satya Darshi Sanjay, Brijender Chahar, Raghavendra P. Shankar, and Rajkumar Bhaskar Thakare (Raja Thakare) have been appointed as Additional Solicitor General (ASG) for the Apex Court.
Appointmented for 3 years
According to the notification, these appointments has been made for a period of three years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the office.

Notably, Senior Advocate Satya Darshi Sanjay has previously served as ASG before the Patna High Court.
The SGI is the second-highest law officer in the country, assists the Attorney General, and is assisted by Additional Solicitors General of India (Addl. SGIs). The SGI and the Addl.
