Following the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, CenterPoint Energy, a Texas-based energy company, has announced plans to provide estimates for substantial restoration of its system. The company conducted a damage assessment and found that the storm had a more significant impact on its infrastructure than initially anticipated.

CenterPoint Energy reported that over 2.26 million customers were left without power at the peak of the outages due to Beryl's unexpected path shift. The company expressed readiness to address the challenges posed by the storm and is mobilizing thousands of frontline resources to kickstart the restoration process.

In light of the ongoing heat forecast for the region, CenterPoint Energy emphasized the urgency of restoring power to its customers. Lynnae Wilson, the senior vice president of electric business at CenterPoint, acknowledged the hardships faced by customers without electricity, particularly in high temperatures.

Wilson stated, 'We understand how difficult it is to be without power for any amount of time, especially in the heat. We are laser-focused on the important and time-sensitive work that lies ahead.'

CenterPoint Energy's commitment to restoring power swiftly and efficiently underscores the company's dedication to serving its customers and communities affected by Hurricane Beryl. As the restoration efforts begin, the company aims to provide timely updates and support to those impacted by the storm.
