There are plans for extensions to lodges at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest along with a refurbishment of a coffee shop which will be turned into a restaurant. The popular holiday destination welcomes guests from all across the country every year and is extremely popular with families and other guests alike, housing visitors in their famous lodges in the Sherwood Forest woodland.
With coronavirus restrictions now fully eased, the park has been able to operate as normal - and there are now plans to make some changes at the site. Center Parcs has gone to the council to request for big changes to be made to create a new restaurant, along with for 10 lodges to be extended.
In one application, submitted to Newark and Sherwood District Council, 10 patio extensions for hot tubs are proposed along with plant room buildings and associated works to existing lodges. There is also a planned refurbishment of the existing Starbucks to create restaurant in the village square and a single storey extension.

That refurbishment would mean the existing Starbucks coffee shop on site, along with the Time for Shade shop, would be turned into newly fit out Las Iguanas "eating experience". Las Iguanas is Latin American themed. There is a Las Iguanas in Chapel Bar in Nottingham city centre. Both applications will now be considered by Newark and Sherwood's District Council.
