Yesterday evening was census night 2022 when forms across the country were filled out to give a clearer population breakdown.
More than two million homes, hotels and institutions have received census forms in recent weeks so as to give the most accurate population breakdown.
This census was supposed to have taken place last year but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

A census is an important event as it gives vital information on "planning for homes, schools, hospitals, transport, age-related services and many other services that are needed in our communities and country."
The census is carried out by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) which employs a temporary workforce of 5,600 to help carry out the census on a local and regional level.
When are the census forms collected?
The census enumerator will return to your home between April 4 and May 6 to collect your form.
What if an enumerator doesn't collect it by May 6?
If your form has not been collected by May 6 then you will have to post it to the Central Statistics Office. Place in a large brown envelope and post it to the address:
