For the Boston Celtics, preparation for the 2023 NBA draft continues unabated despite the team being in the thick of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Pawtucket Times’ Brendan McGair reported the Celtics have worked out NC State big man Isaiah Miranda.
Miranda is an intriguing prospect for Boston to consider. He was a top-50 consensus college prospect who did not get on the floor with the Wolfpack. He was a late arrival to the program, contributing to a decision to redshirt the remainder of the 2022-23 NCAA season. The 7-foot-1 combo big is mobile but thin and very raw, so any move by the Celtics for the wiry Rhode Islander would lead to an extended stint as a two-way player.

The Celtics will have to compete with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors and Utah Jazz, as well as NCAA schools as the Pawtucket native keeping a return to college via the transfer portal open.
