The Boston Celtics beat the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center 118-110 on Tuesday night, and now make the trip to TD Garden to face Boston on their own home court. The Celtics put together a solid effort on a night where it would be easy to mail one in with the NBA’s 2024 All-Star Game looming later in the week.
But they did not, and got a victory for their efforts. Will the redux taking place on the back end of the away-and-home, back-to-back play out the same way? On one hand, we saw evidence that Boston can control this squad when they stay focused. But with All-Star festivities another day closer, the mail-it-in temptation will be great.
We expect a win for Boston here, but don’t be too disappointed if their hearts aren’t in it and the Nets steal a win on the Celtics’ home court.
