While the Detroit Pistons seem to have some sort of strange ability to stymie the Boston Celtics far beyond what their current level of talent suggests they should be capable of doing, the Celtics were still able to pull away from the Pistons in the fourth quarter on Friday night, using their vaunted defense to hold Detroit to just two field goals in the final frame.
And between the rough start for Boston to their utter domination of the Pistons late and the Kevin Garnett and 75th-anniversary inspired goings-on in between, Celtics fans and media alike had plenty to say about the win on the NBA’s unofficial social media platform Twitter.
Let’s take a look at the game from Larry the Bird’s (yes, that’s really the name of Twitter’s icon) point of view.
