The Boston Celtics made the trek to Ontario to play the Toronto Raptors on the road Friday night, their first trip to Canada this season and second in-season tournament (IST) tilt in it overall and vs. Toronto. The Raps came out strong to jump out to an 8-point lead, but the Celtics roared back to a 16-point lead Toronto would walk down to brief leads in the third and fourth quarters of the game.
Boston managed to outlast a furious assault from the Raptors, the Celtics hanging on to stay undefeated in IST tournament play with a 108-105 win. Big games from Jaylen Brown (23 points, 4 assists), Jayson Tatum (17 points, 7 rebounds), Kristaps Porzingis (14 points, 12 boards, 5 assists, 3 blocks), and Jrue Holiday (14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists) helped secure the win.
The bench was strong as well with Sam Hauser and Al Horford adding 11 points each.
