Jayson Tatum is one of five NBA players chosen to feature in a new Netflix documentary, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The streaming giant is looking to build on the success of their “Quarterback” show by following a similar blueprint with NBA players. The Boston Celtics All-Star will be joined by LeBron James, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, and Domantas Sabonis.
Tatum does have some on-screen experience. He has been involved in multiple advertisements that have aired in recent years, with his most notable being the Subway advertisement with Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors.
Nevertheless, Celtics fans will be excited to get a closer look at their team’s best player, along with some of the best talent the NBA has to offer. Netflix has been upping its sports content in recent years and has enjoyed previous success with basketball documentaries, with “The Last Dance,” which they co-produced alongside ESPN, being their most prominent to date.
