Celtics’ Jaylen Brown preparing for Philadelphia 76ers with or without Joel Embiid

While some in the media are quick to point to a potential path to the 2023 NBA Finals for the Boston Celtics with the Milwaukee Bucks having been eliminated by the Miami Heat and Joel Embiid nursing a sprained knee back to health ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers’ Eastern Conference Semifinals series with the Celtics.

But star Boston forward Jaylen Brown sees things differently. “Anytime you get to this point in the playoffs, it’s always going to be a challenge,” said Brown to reporters on Sunday via CLNS Media. “Teams game-planning for each other, (and) teams are physically, mentally fatigued.”

“You’ve got to find a way to win,” Brown added. As to how things might change without Embiid, the Georgia native suggested that the Celtics were planning on approaching Game 1 as if he were going to play.

“I guess we’ll see,” he related. “We watched some games and some stuff with him, (and) without, but I’m most certainly preparing for them to have him.”
