It seems like half the NBA media have weighed in on star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown‘s historic, $304 million supermax contract extension in the last few weeks, but — until now — a duo with deep Celtics roots have yet to say their piece on the Georgia native’s massive extension with the team they won a title with in 2008.
On the most recent episode of the Showtime Basketball “Ticket and the Truth” podcast, Hall of Fame Boston alumni Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce got into a conversation about Brown’s new deal and the state of contracts in the league more generally in recent years.
The pair also touched on other NBA issues lingering into the doldrums of the 2023 NBA offseason — and how players treat that part of the league calendar differently now.
