Star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown had some choice words on winning the 2023 Red Auerbach Award from his team on Wednesday that might help ease the concerns of those in the fanbase concerned the Georgia native could jump ship when his current deal is up. “I think Red Auerbach had a vision for this organization, and so many years later, to see that vision being maintained, I think is amazing, and I’m grateful to be a part of it,” he began.
“Especially when you are highlighting things that necessarily don’t have to do with stats or analytics,” continued Brown. “Leadership on and off the floor, being able to receive an award for something that you don’t necessarily see some type of value for, that doesn’t come up in the stat sheet, I appreciate stuff like that.”
“I’ve put my everything into this team; I’ve put my everything into this city and (this) organization since I’ve been here. So, to get that award, I thought meant a lot. I was grateful,” closed the Celtics forward.

Things can change in a hurry as Boston fans know all too well, but hearing from him that the recognition of not only his presence but what he has contributed to that lore (and that it matters to him in the first place) certainly lends credence to the belief among some that Brown will remain in Boston.
So long as that hard work is valued properly by fans and the front office alike.
