Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck reportedly gives Boston the green light to spend in pursuit of a title

While the importance of having a supportive ownership group behind any contending team is not something that is discussed enough by fans and analysts, the Boston Celtics happen to be among the luckier clubs in the NBA as far as that sort of thing goes.

Recently, in an interview with the Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach, Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck revealed that he had indeed given the team’s front office the go-ahead to spend what they need to compete for a title after having made the 2022 NBA Finals, coming within two wins of beating the Golden State Warriors for Banner 18.

In a video from the folks over at NESN, host George Balekji breaks down the news that the Celtics are ready to break out the checkbook, as well as what it might mean for the season to come.
