The Boston Celtics went through a rollercoaster of all-too-familiar emotions as they faced the Golden State Warriors on the road in a high-stakes game, ultimately losing in overtime despite holding a commanding 17-point lead at one point of the tilt’s second half.
The Celtics, seemingly in control with a big lead, faced a familiar turn of events as the Warriors mounted a comeback in the game’s fourth quarter, forcing the game into an extra period and ultimately securing the win for the Dubs, evoking shades of the 2022 NBA Finals in the process. As the game slipped into overtime, the intensity reached a fever pitch. Both teams fought tooth and nail for each possession, but the Warriors’ composure defeated Boston’s sloppy, unfocused play late.
