The Boston Celtics made the trip to Barclays Center with an axe to grind after sloppy play saw them lose their last contest against the Miami Heat on Friday at TD Garden due to sloppy, disjointed play and too much isolation basketball. But the Celtics came away with a 103-92 win on Sunday fueled by better play on both ends of the court, an ugly third quarter aside.
Boston won the day with excellent games from star wing Jaylen Brown (34 points, 10 rebounds, 4 blocks), star forward Jayson Tatum (29 points, 11 boards, 4 steals), reserve point guard Malcolm Brogdon (13 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists off of the bench), and forward Grant Williams (10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals).
