Celtic winger Hyun-jun Yang is facing a spell on the sidelines after suffering an elbow injury in last weekend’s Scottish Premiership clash against St Johnstone.
The South Korean will miss several key fixtures, including next Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final – also against St Johnstone – at Hampden Park.
While Celtic remain on course to retain their Premiership title, manager Brendan Rodgers has warned his squad against any hint of complacency as the season enters a critical phase.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Rodgers confirmed the extent of Yang’s injury following an awkward fall at McDiarmid Park.
“We’ve got Yang that will be out, he’ll have his arm in a sling for a few weeks,” Rodgers said.

“Obviously he’s had a nasty fall and a slight sprain of his elbow, but everyone else should be okay.
“Hopefully, he’ll be back before the end of the campaign. I think, as I said, it’s two weeks in a sling and then we’ll assess it from there.”
Yang’s absence will be a blow for Celtic, who have watched the 22-year-old improve his game in recent months with important goals and assists.
With Celtic edging closer to another league triumph and a place in the Scottish Cup final on the line, Rodgers will now have to look at alternative attacking options to influence the game off the bench as the Hoops look to finish the season strongly.
