Celtic vs Rangers Scottish Cup semi final ticket blunder as SFA admit Hampden briefs misprint

The SFA have admitted a Scottish Cup ticket blunder after some briefs for the Old Firm last four showdown were printed as the FINAL.

Celtic and Rangers are set to go head to head in the semi-final but a section of fans of both clubs were left puzzled as the tickets were printed with branding for the final.

Hampden officials have held their hands up to the printing error but promised punters that tickets will be valid for Sunday’s clash.

A spokesman told Football Scotland : "A number of tickets for the Scottish Cup Semi-Final fixture on 17 April were accidentally printed on the ticket stock ordered for the Scottish Cup Final as a result of human error.

"All other details printed on the tickets are correct and will not affect fans using them this weekend, while the access control system at Hampden Park will not recognise the tickets should any attempt be made to use them for the Scottish Cup Final.”

The Glasgow giants meet for the second time in quick succession following the recent Scottish Premiership meeting at Ibrox.

Celtic won that 2-1 and will be hoping to put one over their fierce rivals again as they look to move a step closer to a clean sweep.

And the pair are set to clash again with the final league derby to come in the post-split fixtures.

Edinburgh rivals Hearts and Hibs collide in the other Scottish Cup semi-final 24 hours before the Glasgow sides.
