Celtic will hand Rangers just over 700 tickets for the first derby of the Premiership season next month.
The big game takes place on 3rd September with a 12.30pm kick-off time and it will be a highly-anticipated affair with both clubs making perfect starts to their league campaigns so far. Celtic had 'raised the possibility' of increasing attendances at the matches which have had limited travelling supporters in recent seasons. A meeting with Rangers was had over the allocation at matches.
It has been decided though that the Light Blues will occupy well below 1,000 seats inside Parkhead's over 60,000-seater stands and the majority of the rest will be made up of home fans. Away tickets at Old Firm matches has been a thorny issue ever since the Ibrox club decided to slash the traditional allocation of 7,500 back in 2018, citing a record demand for briefs in the wake of Steven Gerrard's arrival as manager as the reason.

No fans witnessed the games live during the 2020/21 season due to stadiums being shut due to Covid, and last year didn't see an increase in away spectators as stadiums reopened.
The Hoops have Premiership assignments to deal with first though, starting with Hearts in Glasgow this Sunday at 3pm.
Rangers meanwhile have similar tasks but their big match is in the Netherlands next week as they take on PSV for a place in the Champions League group stages after a 2-2 play-off first-leg draw.
