Celtic v Kilmarnock: Ash Taylor reckons fan factor can play part in Hampden cup upset

Ash Taylor reckons the main difference between Celtic Park and Hampden will be Kilmarnock's fan factor.

The Ayrshire side lost 2-0 in the east end last week, but with only a couple hundred fans tucked away in the corner it was tough for them to make an impact.

But this Saturday will be different, thousands of supporters in blue and white will be roaring their side on in a bid to derail Celtic's treble hopes.

And defender Taylor, who has plenty of experience at the national stadium, can't wait to see the Killie faithful get their day in the sun.

He said: "Having the fans turning up in their numbers is going to have a huge impact.

"They've been there for us all season, they have been fantastic.

"We hear them, they're loud and they turn up when we most need them and push us on being that extra man for us.

"It's important that we give them a performance that they deserve as they'll be right behind us."

He added: “I can pass off my experience and know how of the big occasion to the younger guys.

“The most important thing in these games is keeping your concentration levels.

“I think it can help if you have been there before.

“During my time at Aberdeen we wanted to make getting to Hampden a habit.

“The more you go there the more comfortable you become.

“Celtic are there that often they treat it as home.

“And to be in that kind of environment before helps you not be phased by the occasion."
