Celtic ultras get PSG tifo mention ahead of Le Classique clash against Marseille

A Celtic ultras group have featured in a tifo display from Paris-SG fans ahead of their game against Marseille.

The mega-rich capital club take on the Cote d'Azur outfit in France's Le Classique, which sees the two biggest clubs in the country go head-t-head in what can be a very tasty affair, on and off the pitch. The Parisiens, backed by Qatar Investments group, are top of Ligue 1 ahead of Lorient, with Marseille three points back in third in what is a tightly packed top end of the table.

A win for either would be a massive boost in the French title race. PSG have won eight of the last ten titles, with only Monaco in 2016-17 and Lille in 2020-21 breaking their strangle-hold on the division. Marseille were last champions in 2009-10 and would love to get one over their big spending rivals and draw level with them on points at the top.

Before the game, the home funs unfurled an impressive tifo display. And eagle-eyed viewers spotted a nod to one of Celtic's fans' group included in the giant flag. It commemorates 10 years of the PSG fan group Nautecia Paris, which was referenced by the Green Brigade during Saturday's win over Hibs.

The Green Brigade are the best known, but Bhoys Ultras logo, which is a stylised image of a fan whose eyes are visible in a green and white balaclava, was present in the display which referenced different fans groups from across Europe.

PSG lead Marseille 1-0 at the break. Brazilian superstar Neymar put the hosts in front on the strike of half-time.

Wanatway teammate Kylian Mbappe hit the headlines this week after reportedly claiming he wanted to depart the club this summer. However, PSG insist their star man is not for sale.

Mbappe rejected a massive move to Real Madrid in the summer, opting instead to sign a new deal with the French big boys. However, it's thought the France star's relationship with Neymar has broken down, along with Argentine great Leo Messi, who has been linked with a return to Barcelona.
