Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is keen to find a loan move for Mikey Johnston before the end of the season.
The Australian has already confirmed he was looking to get a temporary home for the winger who's past couple of seasons have been blighted by injury. Standard Liege was mooted as a potential option but that link has now cooled, with the transfer window for Scottish clubs slamming shut on September 1st. Postecoglou rates the player highly.
But he is keen for him to go and get some more minutes that may benefit his chances of a long-term Celtic career. Speaking of Johnston and other potential outgoings, the Parkhead boss said at his pre-match briefings ahead of taking on Hearts : “It’s about trying to find opportunities for these guys to play, if they’re not going to get opportunities here. It has to be driven by themselves as well.

"If they want to find somewhere to get more opportunities, we’ll certainly help in that regard. There are still ten days or so open in the transfer window.
“Particularly around, say Mikey Johnston. I’m really keen for him to get some game time. I think Mikey is an outstanding talent, he just hasn’t been able to get a good run of games.
“I think in a different environment where he can I think he can start realising the potential we know he has. He’s training well, they’re all training, if opportunities arise over the next 10 days for players, we’ll definitely look at it.”
