Celtic transfer target Odin Thiago Holm 'set' for medical

Celtic transfer target Odin Thiago Holm is 'set' for a medical before completing a move to Parkhead.

This is according to reports from his homeland which claim that he will complete all the various procedures in London ahead of a proposed move to the Scottish champions.

Holm, who is a playmaker, has been linked heavily with the Scottish champions recently after a strong start to the season for Valerenga in Norway.

The midfielder has also been named on the list for the 2023 Goldon Boy award, an accolade previously won by Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona's Pedri.

A fee of up to £2.6 million has been quoted for the 20-year-old, with Norwegian reporter Stian Whal claiming the medical is imminent.

Meanwhile, ex-Rangers manager Graeme Souness has revealed he is "worried" about Brendan Rodgers' return to Celtic.

The Northern Irishman joined the Hoops for the second time recently, signing a three-year deal in the process.

And the former Scotland international is concerned that the move will make the Hoops hard to stop.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "Obviously, my focus is on the other side of Glasgow. I think Brendan going back, this is a worry for me as a Rangers man, my worry would be that he’s asked for assurances in terms of budgets.

"What he’s going to spend, how much he can spend because I’m sure Brendan feels that would have got other job offers back in England, maybe not in the Premier League but certainly the top end of the championship.

"So it worries me slightly that he’s gone back there for that fact on that promises will have been made to him which is about budgets how much you can spend and that ain’t good news for Rangers."
