Celtic are nine points clear and in control of their Scottish Premiership destiny but they feel like a club uninterested in standing still.
That has been the way under Ange Postecoglou and the looming reality of two bonafide first-teamers departing in Giorgos Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic only reinforces the manager's words that he is on a constant hunt for success. And three arrivals in Yuki Kobayashi, Tomoki Iwata and Alistair Johnston underlines that fact.
And what now? There's plenty going on in the way of both incomings and outgoings and Postecoglou couldn't resist a topical one-liner over his agility. The Aussie replied: "It might be confusing for people about me being agile, I think I meant the club. We'll see how it goes. We're glad to see Tomoki unveiled, he's going to be a real asset to us."
Here's the latest on the current state of play at Celtic.
Cho Gue-Sung
Spurs star Son Heung-min has advised his World Cup countryman Cho Gue-Sung to move to Europe, as Celtic increase their interest in the South Korean ace. The Hoops have been linked with the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors forward since last month with a fee of around £2.5 million mentioned for Cho.
Bundesliga outfit Mainz were keen to land Cho, but their interest cooled when the full financial package of the transfer and his salary was unveiled. That hasn't appeared to put off Celtic though, who are now firm favourites to land the 24-year-old in this month's transfer window.
And, in an interview in his homeland, Tottenham Hotspur hero Son was asked about his advice for Cho when it was suggested to him that he would soon sign for Celtic. Son said: "My advice for him would be to go and don't be afraid of playing on the European stage.
"He gained great experience by playing so well at the World Cup and that's the standard he would expect in top European competitions.
I believe his experiences in Qatar will definitely help him. For me, it's not like I have achieved my dream just by playing in Europe. Every day, I think about how much more I can improve and Cho must do the same. For him to move to a European club must mean he is the best player in South Korea just now and that is quite an achievement. Once he adapts, he will enjoy the experience. But he has to keep working hard every day."
Stephen Welsh
The 21-year-old has less than 100 appearances for club and country and youth level but that hasn't stopped him racking up a clutch of admirers across the continent. Udinese and Toulouse are long-term admirers and now you can add Hadjuk Split to that list. The Scotsman claim they are monitoring the Scotland U21 skipper with the Italians also linked with looming Hibs free agent Ryan Porteous.
Postecoglou has stressed in the past Welsh remains a key man and the central defender fulfils a key role as he meets the homegrown rule for European football with which means he would be a cast-iron inclusion for any squads for either the Champions League and Europa League. The arrival of Yuki Kobayashi gives Welsh further competition but it must be remembered he has earned 35 appearances under Postecoglou. Time will tell with this one.
Josip Juranovic
The likes of Barcelona and Chelsea were mooted admirers so a move to Monza may be a surprise to some. The 28-year-old has long craved Serie A but few would have predicted it would be Silvio Berlusconi's upstarts who would likely win the race. But the Daily Mail state a move is close and he is likely to join on an initial loan – with a deferred £7m transfer taking place in the summer.
Celtic haven't slouched, of course, it isn't the Postecoglou way and replacement Alistair Johnston looks every inch the Parkhead player in his first two starts. Postecoglou primed his public to get set to their heroes leave and it's coming to fruition with both Juranovic and the next man set for the exit door.
Giorgos Giakoumakis
The Celtic boss extolled the virtues of the Greek forward on Saturday but it appears Giakoumakis could be joining Juranovic in saying goodbye to Glasgow after 18 months. The 27-year-old was left with his head in his hands as his knuckleball strike from the edge of the box cracked the bar in the win over Kilmarnock. That near miss sums up his second season at Celtic and now it appears Urawa Red Diamonds are in pole position to take him to the J-League.
The latest update from the Land of the Rising Sun - reported in multiple outlets - is the belief within the Urawa camp is a deal can be reached in the coming days with talks understood to be progressing well. If, and it isn't a done deal, yet, it opens the door for Celtic to land another forward.
