The attacker has taken on his club Gangwon after they refused to allow him to leave for Parkhead with the club in the midst of a relegation battle. The 21-year-old has accused the club of performing a U-turn on a promise to help facilitate a move to Europe, while also telling his current employers he would give up his salary to trigger a deal to the Scottish champions this summer.
However, a solution could be rapidly approaching to allow him to move to the Scottish Premiership this summer with Gangwon closing in on a replacement. Brazilian outlet Globo report Flamengo wide man Vitor Gabriel is set to seal a deal to the K-League strugglers - which could finally allow Hyun-jun to make the move to Celtic Park.
With one winger incoming, fears appear to be easing over a potential switch for Liel Abada to Sporting. The Celtic winger has been an in-demand figure in the last 12 months after impressing since arriving in 2021 from Maccabi Petah Tikva on a five-year deal under previous boss Ange Postecoglou.
Southampton and Ajax were said to be interested in Abada, with reports in England suggesting the Portuguese outfit were the latest club to make a move for the deal. However, Record in Portugal claim that the Israel international is "not of interest" at this stage.
in terms of outgoings, Stephen Welsh has been touted with a fresh move abroad. Verona had been mentioned as a potential destination for the defender after he struggled for minutes last term, and Gazetta dello Sport now claim Bologna are considering a move for the Celtic academy graduate.
