St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson has urged Dylan Reid to think twice about a move to Celtic as transfer speculation continues to mount around the Scotland youth international.
Reid was wanted by both Celtic and Rangers before penning his first pro contract at the Premiership club in 2020 but the Hoops have returned with a six-figure offer this summer. Parkhead manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed the interest this month and now Robinson has followed that up with confirmation initial talks between Reid and Celtic have concluded. In his eyes, staking a claim for permanent football in Paisley would be his best bet.
He told the BBC: "Celtic have had conversations with Dylan. I've had conversations with him and his parents. We want Dylan to stay. I will throw young players in and we have done. The boy has a decision to make and we don't want to put any more pressure on a young kid, but we genuinely believe this is the best place for him to develop."

Reid spent part of last season out on loan at Queen's Park and became their youngest-ever Premiership player two years ago, since making three further senior appearances.
Clubs in Germany and Portuguese giants Benfica were also linked with him before eventually turning pro under former boss Jim Goodwin.
