Celtic has loaned promising striker Johnny Kenny to Championship side Queen's Park for the 2021/22 season.
The Irish youth international joined the Hoops from League of Ireland side Sligo Rovers at the start of this year and has continued to develop in the Celtic youth ranks and 'B' team. He will now get another chance to play senior football at a higher level by joining Owen Coyle's recently-promoted side.
His signing was announced shortly before the Spiders kicked off against Arbroath at Gayfield in their latest second tier match following promotion from League One, and Kenny replaced Scott Williamson from the bench in the dying embers of play. It was a hugely successful day for Coyle's team as they prevailed 2-1 over last term Premiership promotion play-off contenders, taking the lead through a Ricky Little own goal. Williamson then netted his first goal since joining from Cambuslang Rangers to double their lead.

Kieran Shanks got one back for Dick Campbell's team who weren't able tp overturn the deficit and move off bottom spot.
Up next for Queen's is a home match against Cove Rangers, who finished three places ahead of them in League One in May.
Kenny will learn from the likes of former Hibs and Dundee United forward Simon Murray at Queen's after watching Kyogo Furuhashi, Daizen Maeda and Giorgos Giakoumakis strut their stuff on the other side of Glasgow at Celtic Park.
