Celtic transfer clue as international squad names starlet as Hoops player after Parkhead photo hint

Justin Osagie has been named in the Republic of Ireland U19s squad - with his club listed as Celtic following recent speculation.

The talented 17-year-old is believed to have signed a three-year deal at Parkhead after photos emerged last month of him standing at the club's home with a green and white jersey on. He was most recently at English Premier League club West Ham United and his move to Celtic has all but bee confirmed by recent photos and this squad announcement.

He follows new Hoops teammates Rocco Vata and Bosun Lawal amongst others in receiving call-ups in the Irish youth system. Head coach Tom Mohan has called in 30 players available to him as part of preparations for U19s qualifiers next month.

He will assess his options over the coming days and a three-day training camp in Loughborough, England, and that has started. They will face Hungary, Wales and Gibraltar in Round One of qualifications.

Osagie is likely to link up with the Premiership champions' 'B' team who currently ply their trade in the Lowland League. They have four points from their opening three matches and drew 2-2 with Spartans on Saturday.

Celtic's latest recruit is also eligible to play for England and Nigeria but is set to try and earn his first youth chance with Ireland.
