Kevin van Veen hit a hat-trick as Motherwell cruised into the quarter-finals of the Premier Sports Cup - where they will now face holders Celtic.
The Dutchman was in fine form as he grabed his first treble for the club, while Denny Devine also netted an own goal as the Steelmen eased past their Highland visitors at Fir Park.
Van Veen scored twice from the penalty spot, netting in either half, after opening the scoring in 10 minutes when he fired home from Joe Efford's cross.
It means van Veen has now hit seven goals in his first six games domestically this season, having netted 11 times in 39 appearances last term.
Motherwell's 'reward' for their progress is a home tie with Celtic, who eased to a 4-1 victory over Ross County in Dingwall.
The quarter-finals are due to be played in the midweek of October 18-20.
The full draw for the quarter-finals is as follows:
Motherwell v Celtic
Aberdeen v Partick Thistle
Rangers v Dundee
Kilmarnock v Dundee Utd
