Celtic striker Jon Afolabi has joined Airdrie for the rest of this season.
The 22-year-old Irishman, who signed yesterday evening, goes into the squad for today's League One clash at home to Montrose, subject to SFA approval.
Afolabi was on loan at Championship club Ayr United, scoring once in 16 appearances for the Honest Men. He has previously been on loan at Dunfermline Athletic and Dundee.
He has also represented Republic of Ireland at under-17, 19 and 21 levels.
Airdrie have previously brought players in on loan deals from Celtic, and Afolabi joins Brody Paterson in the current squad, with Kerr McInroy having joined Championship side Ayr United following a successful spell at Airdrie.
Afolabi is one of two loan signings announced by the New Broomfield club, following Kilmarnock kid Justin Devenny.
Boss Ian Murray told Airdrie's website: "Jonathan is a big, physical striker who has gained good experience on loan.
"He's a left-footed player with great power, and he will bring us something different in the forward areas.
"We look forward to working with him and would like to thank Celtic for their co-operation again.
"I would also like to thank our own board for helping in adding to our squad in a very important period. The support is appreciated."
