Celtic starting team news for Shakhtar clash as Kyogo returns as one of two changes from Real Madrid

Kyogo Furuhashi returns from the start as Celtic make two changes from the defeat to Real Madrid for the clash with Shakhtar Donetsk in Poland.

Ange Postecoglou has a perfect domestic record with six wins from six games and a whopping 25 goals to date as he looks to translate that form to the big stage as they look to pick up all three points on matchday two in the Champions League. Last week's defeat coupled up with the Ukrainians stunning win in Germany makes for an already important 90 minutes this early on. Victory and it is all to play for in the section, defeat and the Hoops will face a tall order to reach the last 16.

Celtic will be desperate to add points to the plaudits they won with a flamboyant performance against Real Madrid last week on matchday one which ended in a 3-0 defeat. And manager Postecoglou has again named an attacking team – does he know any other way? – for this crucial encounter against the Ukrainians in Warsaw.

The Aussie boss and his troops will come up against a familiar face in Marian Shved, with the winger having spent a couple of seasons at Celtic under first Brendan Rodgers and then Neil Lennon. He's had a stunning start at his new club with a double against RB Leipzig last week while he hit another crucial strike to spark a domestic comeback win ahead of this one.

Joe Hart starts in goal with Josip Juranovic and Greg Taylor occupying the full-back positions. Moritz Jenz and Cameron Carter-Vickers are either side of the duo in the heart of the Hoops' backline.

Skipper Callum McGregor is in midfield with Reo Hatate and Matt O'Riley. Kyogo Furuhashi is fit and in from the start for Giorgos Giakoumakis with Jota and Sead Haksabanovic making up the wide positions of the attacking trio.

Celtic XI: Hart, Taylor, Jenz, Furuhashi, Haksabanovic, Jota, Carter-Vickers, O'Riley, Hatate, McGregor, Juranovic.

Subs: Bain, Siegrist, Giakoumakis, Abada, Mooy, Turnbull, Bernabei, Abildgaard, Maeda, Forrest, Ralston, Welsh.
