Celtic defender Stephen Welsh could be on his way to Italy in a bid to achieve first-team footballl.
The 23-year-old from Coatbridge is reportedly on the radar of Italian sides Hellas Verona and Bologna, having been frozen out at Celtic Park.
Josh Doig has done well since joining Verona, while Lewis Ferguson could be set for an even bigger move, having impressed for Bologna this season, and that could pave the way for Welsh to head to Italy.
Welsh played just six times for Celtic last season, his last appearance coming in a 2-1 win over St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on October 8, and new boss Brendan Rodgers could be tempted, should a bid come in for him.
The Scottish Daily Mail claim a player plus cash could be forthcoming from Bologna.
