Ayrshire DJ Ewan McVicar has revealed his secret friendship with Celtic star Jota after he helped the Hoops ace take to the decks.
The hit producer, who is set to bring a sold out festival to Ayr beach in April, has told how he's teamed up with wing wizard Jota - who is enjoying his second season at the Scottish Premiership Champions in Glasgow and has become a hero amongst the Parkhead faithful.
Ewan has told how the pair's friendship started after their mutual accountant asked if Ewan could meet the Portuguese attacker to pass on some of his DJ skills.
Speaking to Reilly's Gaff podcast, the 'Tell Me Something Good' artist opened up on the unlikely bond between the pair.
Ewan said: "We've both got the same accountant, right?
"And the accountant goes 'Jota has asked me to ask you if you can teach him how to DJ, or what he needs?' Because he's just in his house, I was like 'sound.'
"I went round to his house - unbelievable.
"I goes in and he's got a big massive whiteboard, there's no white on the whiteboard, just tactics everywhere. He's so organised.
"He's the loveliest guy ever.
"I sat down and he's got a wee notepad. I've never seen anyone who wants to learn music go this far into it, that's obviously what he's like when he's passionate about something.
"He likes tunes. He likes dance music and he's like 'what do I need to get started?'
"He's went and bought the full set-up. He's got a full set of decks."
Before explaining the friendship, Ewan jokingly admitted that he skipped a mate date with Jota at Glagow's new driving range attraction - Top Golf.
Host Evan Reilly asked the star: "You did skip something to be here mate?"
To which Ewan then admitted: "Yeah I did actually, I was meant to go to Top Golf with Jota. I'm good pals with Jota."
Ewan, who supports St Mirren, then joked he hopes no one now thinks Jota is a fan of the Buddies.
Ewan is set to play to a crowd of 7,500 at Pavillion Festival this summer at the Low Green in Ayr.
The huge show will see the star who grew up in Kincaidston make a sensational homecoming.
Earlier this month the DJ spoke to Ayrshire Live at the site ahead of the massive show dubbing it his "Madison Square Garden."
