Celtic 'set to face Cork City' in pre-season friendly in Ireland

Celtic are reportedly set to face Cork City in a pre-season friendly.

According to League of Ireland Talk, the Scottish Premiership leaders will travel to Ireland for a summer fixture.

Neither club have announced the fixture but it has been claimed the match will go ahead later this year at Cork GAA stadium Pairc Ui Caoimh.

Cork City owner Dermot Usher had previously hinted at a friendly with a major UK club when appearing on the 'Rebel Army' podcast.

Now, it appears Celtic will face Cork City in a showpiece friendly as part of their pre-season preparations.

Pairc Ui Caoimh, known as The Park, has a capacity of 45,000.
